AECR wishing Eid Mubarak

The AECR wishes all its Muslim members and friends around the world a blessed and enjoyable Eid Al Fitr holiday. May Allah bring you joy, happiness, peace and prosperity on this blessed occasion.

Today is the first official day of the Eid Al-Fitr festival, the festival of the breaking of the fast. It marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.

Ramadan is a sacred time for Muslims who believe that during Ramadan the Qu’ran was revealed to mankind through the Prophet Muhammad.

The Qu’ran says:

The taking of one innocent life is like taking all of mankind… and the saving of one life is like saving all of mankind. (The Qu’ran, 5:32)

Traditionally, Eid al-Fitr is celebrated for three days and is an official holiday in all Muslim-majority countries. “Eid Mubarak” (“Blessed Eid”) is the traditional greeting used at Eid al-Fitr after saying the Eid prayer.
