EYC Youth Summit held in Turkey

The European Young Conservatives (EYC) held their Youth Summit in Antalya, Turkey on Friday. Over 100 delegates from 30 countries heard speeches with a strong focus on the difficult challenges that Europe and the MENA region face today.

EYC Chairwoman, Keti Mamulashvili, who was elected in 2015, gave the opening speech of the summit. Keti is a graduate of the Law School of Free University of Tbilisi, Georgia, and works for the Deputy Chairman of the Georgian Parliament. The International Republican Institute recently named her as the best speaker and debater among youth leaders.

She said:

Today, we are here to share our experience and knowledge that each representative and each youth organization brings. Equally important is the fact that today we will have an opportunity to listen and gather information from higly qualified, competent and experienced people, which will help us in our future political activities.

AK Party Youth Chairman Melih Ecertaş gave the keynote speech at the summit. Melih graduated from Beykent University with a BA in Business Administration and also holds a Master’s Degree on Marketing Communications from Emerson College, USA. Currently, he works as a business development specialist while pursues his PhD at the Gebze Advanced Technology Institute.

Melih said:

It is the goal of AK Party Youth to reach every young person of our society. Therefore, listening to the young generation is very important for us.
