More than half of the Dutch population want a referendum on the EU membership of their country, well-known Dutch pollster Maurice de Hond showed in a recent survey.
According to this poll, 53% of the Dutch are in support of an EU referendum. If such a referendum took place, as many people (43%) would vote for leaving the EU as for staying in the EU, the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf reported yesterday.
Most Dutch hope that Great Britain remains a member of the EU (48%), while more than a third of them (37%) would support a Brexit. The British population will have an EU referendum on June 23, 2016.
