PRESS RELEASE OF THE ALLIANCE OF CONSERVATIVES AND REFORMISTS IN EUROPE (ACRE)
Myron Ebell, US President Donald Trump’s leader for transition of the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), will be speaking on conservatism, economics and the environment at the Blue-Green Summit hosted by the ACRE on the 1st of February at the Solvay Library in Brussels.
He said:
ACRE’s Blue-Green Summit in Brussels will be an exciting opportunity to discuss the future of environmentalism; toward practical solutions making our world more secure, our people better off, and to pave the way for the innovation needed for our future.
Myron Ebell will be joined by high-profile speakers including: the Director-General of the European Commission's DG for Climate Action, Jos Delbeke; former UK Minister for Climate Change and Energy Lord Barker; Iceland’s Minister of Justice Sigridur Andersen MP; the Chairman of the Advisory Board of Bloomberg New Energy Finance, Michael Liebreich; Author and Conservative Peer Lord Ridley; NASF Chairman Orri Vigfusson; Tunisian Secretary of State for Scientific Research Khalil Amiri; Senior Academic Fellow at the IEA, Prof. Philip Booth; and Anneleen Van Bossuyt MEP.
ACRE Secretary-General Daniel Hannan MEP will host the summit, and said:
The Blue-Green Summit will be looking at how we can best improve our environment using market mechanisms; the innovation that comes from capitalism, and the natural sense of trusteeship that is part of Burkean conservatism. Environmentalism, and the world we live in, are altogether too important to be left to left.
Myron Ebell was chosen by Donald Trump in September 2016 to lead the Presidential Transition’s EPA team. He is the Director of the Center for Energy and Environment at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, where he advocates for Free Market Environmentalism.
